Municipal Strategy

Strategic priorities guiding planning, services, and projects.

Strategic planning is considered one of the important means that help institutions in determining their future vision and general directions, and ensuring the transformation of these goals into realistic plans and tangible projects through which they work to achieve their objectives.

Applying the best practices in this field, Al-Shyoukh Municipality has worked on updating its strategic plan , which identified the medium-term directions of the municipality in various sectors, and detailing them into strategic and operational plans, through which it works on implementing initiatives and projects, according to specific budgets linked to the plans, with the aim of achieving the vision of the town regarding meeting the needs of citizens, developing institutional work, achieving sustainable development, and enhancing the position of the town.

The strategic planning process of the town has always stemmed from the municipality’s vision and mission, represented in providing the best model of basic services for citizens and striving to be the most attractive institution for the best competencies to improve its services and contribute to the development of our town with pride and honor. It also seeks excellence in the field of service provision and economic development by keeping pace with everything new and harnessing technology in order to achieve this. It aims to be an incubator for ideas and inspiring people in the field of comprehensive development.

We faced several obstacles during the updating of this plan, the most important of which was the community’s reluctance to participate in updating this plan, as well as the circumstances of the war of extermination practiced against our people in the other part of the homeland in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the West Bank governorates, which clearly affected the municipality’s ability to implement what had been planned during the previous years.

Finally, we do not forget to thank everyone who contributed, planned, and worked to update this plan, including employees, community institutions, and local community figures. We especially mention the Municipal Development and Lending Fund and Qader for Community Development Foundation, who had the greatest role in making this update successful
