During the meeting, it was announced that the municipality had been awarded a grant to develop its administrative system through the implementation of an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS). This support comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the municipality’s institutional capacity and enhance administrative procedures in line with modern standards for information management and document preservation. The initiative is expected to improve efficiency, transparency, and the quality of services provided to citizens, while reinforcing digital transformation as a strategic approach to keeping pace with technological advancements. The Mayor of Al-Shyoukh Municipality, Mr. Hassan Ismail Halaika, together with the Municipal Council members, emphasized that this initiative represents a significant milestone in the municipality’s administrative development and digital transformation journey. They also expressed their sincere appreciation to the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) for its continuous support of local development projects.
Citizens can now pay water and electricity fees electronically through the municipality’s official website without the need to visit the municipality’s office, through the E-SADAD service.
